AVnu Allliance Panel: Audio Video Bridging (AVB) - The AV Network for Europe and the World
Since the inaugural AVnu Alliance panel discussion at Pro Light and Sound 2010, AVB has made great strides with the ratification of the IEEE standards, including IEEE 802.1AS, 802.1Qat, 802.1Qav, 1722, and 1733. This year's panel focused on the continued growing number of AVnu Alliance members, specifically new European members and how AVB addresses the growing AV networking needs for today and the future.

ISE 2011 attendees were able to visit the AVnu Alliance Technology Pavilion and see Avid, Harman, Lab X Technologies, Mayer Sound and XMOS demonstrate products utilizing AVB networking technology.
AVnu also hosted a panel discussion entitled Theory to Application - AVB in Real-World System Design and Application at the ISE Theatre.

The AVnu Alliance presented IEEE 802.1 Audio/Video Bridging (AVB): The future of standards-based A/V networking
This panel discussion with key members of the AVnu Alliance explored the role of the IEEE 802.1 Audio/Video Bridging [AVB] Standards in the professional systems integration industry, as well as consumer electronics and automotive applications. An in-depth explanation of AVB and related IEEE standards was presented, followed by a discussion of the advantages of an open non-proprietary technology, the role of silicon makers to ensure a cost-effective solution, and the critical role a compliance program will play to ensure interoperability of AVB devices.
